Oiling and inspection of your evaporative or Swamp Cooler bearings can save you major headaches and expense. On most oil coolers in the bearings is a very simple task. Most residential models and small enterprises are equipped with bronze door. There are no moving parts such as bearings there are ball bearings. Bronze bearings are manufactured with a bronze handle inside a die cast steel housing. The fan shaft rotates inside the sleeve bronze. These bearings allow motion smooth and low friction between two solid surfaces. The portion of bronze bearing is usually about 1 / 8-3 / 16 inch thick and is porous for lubrication. You see a cup of oil over the bearing. Open the cup and down about 5 to 10 drops of lightweight machine oil in the tube of oil.
