Can someone translate this Latin former found a Cross Crusader for me? He said Torec Rirov?.
This cross has been found in the Holy Land. It has the words engraved on the front of the cross. (I'm pretty sure the last letter is indeed Rirov av and not to the point, anything is possible). I used all Latin to English I can find and go with anything. It is a mystery. If you can help, I'd be grateful. The cross is about 800 years. I try to learn as much as possible about it. Thank you!
It does not seem to be Latin, ending with a V, is unlikely to be Celtic – Celtic languages in the British Isles, only the Cornish and the Manx use the letter V, but in the case of Cornwall, just after reform spelling and written documents in the Isle of Man does not appear until the 17th or 18th. I believe, however, that the Breton has the letter V
